"Brother of Mrs. Martha Woodcox Dead"
Funeral services for the late William H. Callender, the father of Mrs. Gay West of Auburn, who passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lottie Bassett of near Concord, another daughter, were held at the Union Chapel church Saturday morning, at 10:00 with interment made in the cemetery at Hicksville, OH.
The deceased was 82 years of age the second of December last. He was born in Stark County, OH, and came to DeKalb county 32 years ago from near Hicksville, OH, taking up his residence near Union Chapel. Since six years ago the deceased has lived in Auburn.
Mr. Callender is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Hay of Auburn, Mrs. Bassett at whose whom he died, O.E. Callender, living on a farm a mile north of Albion and O.L. Callender of Coainga, Fresno County, CA. A sister, Mrs. Martha Woodcox of St.
