DIED-On Sunday last, at his residence near Ridgeville, in this county, after a brief illness, Mr. Wm. C. Hays, in the 49th year of his age. The deceased was for many years an exemplary Christian, and, as the head of a family, a good neighbor and citizen, distinguished for his upright life and exemplary deportment. He died in full possession of his faculties, and in hope of a blissful immortality.

Martha LUCE? was born about 1807 in , , OH. She died after 1870 in Of Clear Creek, Warren Co, Ohio. Martha married William C. HAYS on 16 Sep 1825 in Of Warren Co., Ohio.

GEORGE, SAMUEL & WM.C.,(who inherits the farm) & dau, ABIGAIL FIX.
All the sons are to pay the only dau, ABIGAIL FIX some money right away.
This puzzled me,as she was md to PHILIP FIX, a fairly well-to-do farmer
of Shelby Co., Ind., who moved there in 1821, but the mystery is solved
now. SHE was still living in Clear Creek twp., Warren Co., Ohio in 1830
according to the census.  She was a widow living in Shelbyville, Ind. in
1850.  I have hundreds of their desc. from the VAN BENTHUYSEN
Genealogy.  ABIGAIL'S oldest son m. one."
