vital statistics of his family.  This journal was burned when his
daughter's house burned down at Webb City, MO in the 1880's or 1890's
and all his notes were lost to his progeny.  REBECCA M. HEWITT-BRADLEY
had the journal.  What we have now is what people remembered from that
