Whitfield=Hannah Teasdale--  "Witness Thos Whitfield."  Christopher's
older brother was this Thos Whitfield.

This child was on her pedigree chart of Feb 1977.  However the IGI lists
the father" John", only, and not "Mary" the mother.  I think its likely we
have  two different families with a JOHN WHITFIELD as father.

However, this is Dr. J Young's direct line..so this must be carefully
analyzed.

Sandy Baguley: has Joseph md to Ann Readshaw 31 Jan 1811,  and 6
children.  She does not have a "Mary" listed either.

Ann READSHAW married Joseph WHITFIELD on 31 Jan 1811.

Dr. Young's letter of Feb 23, 1977: "John Whitfield of Blackhouse, (etc)
died in 1819 and his tombstone age say 72 and the register says 76!  (Not
very accurate-but I would think 70 would be more accurate, judging by
other sources.  Perhaps the '6' in the register is a bad 'O'.  (The vicar said
the writing was poor.)  Also the Register calls him of Raise, so maybe he
died at his son Ralph's house."

Blackhouse suggests he is living with his father at this address before

research on the Whitfield line.  Carol Minson has 1977 Notes of her
research, including three pedigree charts.  (I have rechecked a great deal
of her work and find it accurate---with few exceptions.)  (WHI0199F.)

Joseph and Ann  Readshaw Whitfield had 7 children listed in Dr. Youngs
letter of 28 Jan 1977: John, Mary born 1819, Sarah, Teasdale Whitfield,
William, Joseph, Robert.
