WILLIAM VANCE (4) HAYS, (JAMES 3, MOSES 2, DAVID 1):
WILLIAM VANCE (4) HAYS b at Hays Crossing (now Iffley), Allegheny Co. PA. m 1852 Emily Lorain. Three children. Lived at "Meadowbrook Farm", Imperial PA. Built a colonial home there about 1870. He raised and sold horses used in the Civil War. Died 1902. Both buried Valley Presby. Church Graveyard, Imperial, PA.

ALLENA GRACE (5) HAYS - Artist and Musician, m 1876 Levi J Stewart. 4 children. d 1911 buried at Valley Presby Ch., Imperial PA. Her name is also preserved in a memorial window in Valley Church.
JOSEPH PARKER (5) HAYS - m Ella Tidball. two children. buried at Valley Presby Ch., Imperial PA.
LEWIS CASS (5) HAYS - He helped build the Northern Pacific RR near Butte MT, before the town was there. md 1st Flora Hindman, grad in music from Blairsville Sem, PA; md 2nd Emma Whetstone. He had six children, three by each mg. D 193-.
buried at Valley Presby Ch., Imperial PA.

NELLIE TODD (6) HAYS -Child of first mg. Grad of Wash. Seminary, Wash PA. md Nov 1916 Earl I Schall (b 1890 grad of Wash & Jeffersonn College, Wash, PA. He was a teacher for 38 years, 23 of them in a Pittsburgh high school, d 1952.) Three children. Member of DAR on Moses Hays line. Presbyterian. Lived Punxsutawney PA 1916-17; Johnstown, PA 1919-1925; Imperial, PA 1955, later Pittsburgh, PA.
EDWARD HINDMAN (6) HAYS -Child of first mg. Md first Mabel Anderson (1890-1918); m 2nd, 1928, Elizabeth Patterson 1899-1930--dau of Dr. John Mason Patterson.) One son by second mg. D 1935 near Oakdale, PA.
BABY (6) HAYS b and d Jul 1892. Mother, Flora Hays also died then.
WILLIAM VANCE (6) HAYS -Child of second mg. Served in WWI. d in battle Nov 1 1918 Argonne Forest, France.
MARGARET (6) HAYS -Child of second mg. d 1902.
ALMA (6) HAYS -Child of second mg. Md PAUL LITTEL McMICHAEL Six children. She is teacher, Phi Beta Kappa. Lived near Imperial, Allegheny Co. PA.
