obit notice of Rebecca Hewitt Bradley:  Ellen M. Black "of Springfield
(probably MO)--then she moved to Independence MO."

CM is not sure of source of birthplace for Ellen Maloney.

Rebecca Hewitt's Journal (see notes for Henry Maloney) indicate that
she, Rebecca, and brother Will left Indian Territory  to get  Jane (Hewitt)
Maloney in Texas in Nov 1852- a 2 month journey-- and went directly to
Arkansas-- with Mr. Dockery- to where her Mother had bought a farm in
Benton Co. AR   "near where the town of Gravette now stands,"   and it
was "almost a year before my brother-in-law, Mr. Steven Maloney got
home."  That would be about beginning of 1854.
From there Rebecca and her mother, Jarusha, did not go back to I.T.
Of course, Jane and Steven Maloney might have done so and this would
account for Ellen Maloney being born in I.T.  If that is correct.
