1983, June 22, letter from
Walter A. Hague, 13 S.E. 37th
Okla City, OK  73129.   : "Great Uncles Walt & Chauncy told me my mother
and her family (Raineys) come in a wagon train from Panhandle (a town)
in Texas through OK to the Vertagre River north of Tulsa, a small town
Catoosa to a turn Around (meeting place for wagon trains going R1
directions.)   My Dad ORVAL, Uncle Harry & Orie was on a wagon train
three years  before and stopped there.  Got commercial fishing permit.
They caught large fish, made a pen of hog wire-the River's edge.  They
sold to the people.  My Dad, Orval, met mother. NINA ISABELL RAINEY.
Were married.  Moved to Wagnor, (Warner?) onto Blackburn, then to
Drumright where Uncle Harry & Orie was.  They started the Lazy H  cattle
ranch.  They did well until 1918 the blackleg got into the herd.  They
killed thousands of the cattle.  Broke-  then they farmed.  My dad worked
in the oil fields.  (first oil wells at Drumright  Creek County.)  Dad got
the flu in the fall of 1919.  Died 2 -28- 1920.  Mother died 1-9-28.
Oldest sister Goldie died 3 -5-27. Brothers Bill, William died March
1973.  Harry his youngest brother died.. . ."

Walter Alvin Hague, (s/o Vernon Orval Hague) was a grand nephew of
Walter B. Hague.   Walter Alvin Hague remembers that  Walter B. Hague
was called "Buck" when the latter visited their home east of Drumrght,
Oklahoma about  ?1906?

Oct 3,2000 I called and talked to Dorothy Hague.  Her husb died Sep 10,
1992.  Dorothy had just returned from a trip back east. She sounded
great--full of life.  She is 76.
She used to be a secretary at Oklahoma City Fire Dept..  She came to
Oklahoma City when she was 18.
"Walt had four major trips to hospital befor he died.  He had such a good
attitude.   A Willingness.   He had been a plumber inspector before he
retired."

Dorothy sent me a xerox of her wedding picture  and also a picture of
them and their son Walter Alan Hague at about age 13.

Dorothy D. GAIDAROFF married Walter Alvin HAGUE.

Fairfield, Illinois.  She has lived there 25 years.  Has a distinctive voice.
She worked at a radio station 22 years.    Mary Hague from Oklahoma
worked at radio also.  Mary's husband Melvin they live at Woodward, OK.
(Orval was his father).  Orie moved to Neosha.

1906 Aug 7,  Otis Bowlin has son, Earnest Clay Bowlin at Mounds.
1906 Oct Earley (Bowlin) Cox has son George W. Cox "outside of Mounds."
1907 abt March: Photograph of Sally Bowlin with  grand babies Earnest
Bowlin and George W. Cox.   Babies look 5 months and 7 mo old.  They
appear to be sitting up by themselves. The two baby boys are in beautiful
dresses. G'ma Sally has a bow in her hair, but her face looks drawn.
1908 abt April-  Sally (Hague) Bowlin died of cancer- age 48, at Mounds,
OK.

Apr 17, 1984--more ph conversation with Hilda Leverton:
"Jessie born in Gracefield Chouteau Montana in the spring--school was
on  and she died in the summer time.    Dad (Otis) was sick up in Montana.
Dad's dad (Jacob Bowlin) came to get  Dad and took him back to Mounds
OK.  (with whole family?)   He died in hospital at Tulsa on Valentines day
1918.

"Jacob M Bowlin had a farm about 4 miles east of Mounds.  Raised hogs
and grain feed for hogs.  He died about 1937-38.  All at cemetery at
Mounds--on tombstones."
Beaulah (Hague) Hale:  "Aunt Sally died before her brother, Carl Hague."

1918/1919  Feb 14th Otis Bowlin died in hosp at Tulsa age abt 36.  He
died of cancer.
1950's summer- " Earley (Bowlin) Colvin died in late 50's in California.
She went to see Richard (her youngest) and Mary and had a heart attack."

Mary BOLING was born 27 Aug 1886 in Corning, , Iowa. She died Jun 1976 in Westminster, Nr Denver, Grand, Colo and was buried in Denver, , CO. Mary married Otis Clay BOWLIN about 1905 in Of Mounds, Creek, OK.

She remembered Aunt Earley living in Okla. md to Breedlove, living on a
farm east of Mounds, "sort of a homebody--quiet--likeable--abt 5'5"- my
size.  My mother, (Mary Boling was 18 when her folks migrated to
OK)-She and Aunt Earley were friends.  Went to church together in the
community out there."

I asked at her sons?  She said:  "Not at her sons.  At a friend of hers,
Emma, down in desert area, not Palm Springs and not as far as San
Diego." Hilda had had a letter from that friend, Emma.

I asked (1984) when did Richard Breedlove die?  She said, "Late 50's
after Aunt Early.  He had 5 kids.."  She thought his widow was still alive.
