"My great grandmother was Jerusha Parker b 15 Sep 1834 in Ohio (prob Clermont Co.)
Her father was William Parker b 1 or 12 Aug 1800 (this was taken from an old Bible) in New Jersey. William Parker m Patience Drummond 24 Nov 1825 in Clermont Co. OH.. . .William also named another dau, REBECCA. . .I notice on the 1830 census an Isaac Parker living very close to John Drummond (Patience Drummond father) in Tate township, Clermont Co., OH. I know the Drummonds were part of what was known as the Jersey Settlement."
-------------------
Glorene Brown sent the PARKER -WATT Bible Record which she obtained "in last few years.". She said the Bible was dated 1852 and belonged to Zona McDonald Dowler of Wichita, KS. Zona is the youngest dau of Thos and Jerusha (Parker ) Watt's youngest dau. "The Bible was in terrible shape. . .seems to have some rain damage. It is water-stained and unreadable in places. William Parker's age could easily be off a few years." The Bible contained births of William Parker and Patience Parker and eight children. Plus- Thomas J Watt and Jerusha Watt and and 10-11 children. Also 9 deaths and 3 marriages.

Lois Darrough- Apr 19, 2001
I HAD thought that William died before May 1841 in Clermont
Co. I had based this on a Letter of Administration being granted at
that time on the estate of a William Parker in Clermont Co.
Unfortunately, I found nothing else to confirm this to be YOUR William,
other than I could not find any evidence of him being alive after the
1840 census.
Since according to the info Carol sent me that Parker/Watt Bible says he
died Jan 1845 and a child, Mary Janet, was born in 1843, the 1841 Letter
of Administration must not have been his. Will just have to go back to
searching for Estate papers and burial location.

Lois Darrough sent data on 7 children of James Parker and Leah, Oct 2000.
"William Parker, born aft 1800. He md Patience Drummond 24 Nov 1825 in
Clermont Co. OH."
1803: James Parker (the elder) was in Clermont Co as early as 1803.
Source: Clermont County, Ohio Pioneers 1798-1812 -- A substitute
Census for 1800-1810, Aileen M. Whitt. There are 11 Parkers listed in
the book including a Richard. It says he appears in a deed index in 1812.
----------------
In the 1820 Census, James Parker appears to be living with his parents.
Based on ages, sex, and number of children appearing in the census, all
of the children were still at home except Lydia Parker who had married William
Baldwin in 1819. Census as follows: Ohio, Clermont Co., Williamsburg
Twp., Roll 89 p. 3
James Parker 1 m under 10, 1 m 10-16, 1 m 16-26 1 m 45 and over 1 f
under 10, 1 f 16-26, 1 f 45 and over.
----------------
1821:The will of James Parker (the elder) was written Jul 20, 1821 and
went to probate Oct 4 1821. The will names wife Leah, son James
(called the eldest son), children William, Rebecca (called youngest
daughter), Abel. From the wording these children apprear to be under
21). The will also names daughers Jarusha Parker, Lydia Baldwin,
formerly Lydia Parker. Names wife Leah and son James Executors. Land
he owned in James Johnstons Survey No 5252 was left jointly to sons
James and William.
From Clermont Co Marriage records we have William m Patience
Drummond. .
1828 Feb 9: William and Patience Parker sells 73 plus acres of land
(1/2 of the land mentioned in #3 above) This would appear to confirm
that the William who married Patience was in fact the son of James
Parker.
1833 Nov 23: Book G2-31, Sale of land 65+ acres by Leah Parker and Wm
Parker to Richard Hewitt and Enoch Patterson
1833 Nov 23:Deed Book I2-33 p. 25-26. Brown County, OH
This indenture between William Parker, Richard Hewitt and
Enoch Patterson of the County of Clermont and State of
Ohio of the first part William Voorhese of the County
of Clermont State of Ohio sold for $15, Lot number 112 in
the town of Batavia in Clermont County containing one quarter
acre.
Signed William Parker, Richard Hewitt, Enoch Pattison,
Patience (her mark) Parker, Jerusha Huitt, Rebecca Pattison.
Witnesses J. W. Robinson & Jacob Hewitt (Richard's brother).
... the lot was on Fifth and Main Streets.
--------
1834 Jan 30: Deed Book G2-31 Sale of 8+ acres by Leah Parker and Wm
Parker to Joseph Kidd
As you noted in Nov 1833 the Hewitts, Pattersons and Wm and Patience
Parker all sold a lot together. (This lead to the conclusion that they
were all related.)
------------------------------
Grantor-Grantee indexes of Clermont Co. OH show:
"1837 Leah PARKER to John W. ROBINSON Vol. N2.37 pg 377 town lot
97- Batavia." And Robinson probably no relation to Bailey
Robinson--but then again---.
1831 Grantor- William HALL ---IN MILFORD
1837 Grantor- Abell Hall---in Chilo-
"Our James (the elder who d 1821) named 3 sons in his will - James who
died 1827 had 3 dau and 0 sons, Abel who I believe died c 1833 without
marrying (note: I don't have this in my computer but am doing the info on
Abel from memory -- always dangerous) and William who married
Patience but whom I have not found after the deeds were written. My
GUESS is that they moved away from Clermont Co." Lois Derrough
