James and Eliza Smith had eight children: Ferona Talma,  Alonzo Handy,
Edward Fernandice, James Waldo, Alphonso Wood,  Sarah Amanda, Lucy

Gilbert SMITH [Parents] was born 20 Aug 1832 in Wesley Twp, Washington, OH. He died 12 Sep 1901 in Fairfield Twp, Washington, OH. Gilbert married Rowena G. WILLIAMS on 8 Jan 1857.

and Front streets (of Fairfield Twp.)  At the same time Gilbert and Smith
kept a store on the southeast corner of the same streets.

1881: WILLIAM THOMSON owned 405 a of land in nort part of Fairfield. History of Wash Co. Oh p 728.
