SAMUEL had 7 brothers: MARTIN, JOHN C., PAUL, JOSEPH, CALVIN & ROLLAND. Their father was HENRY STRANGE, he lived in Campbell Co, VA not far from Lynchburg.  Henry Strange's father is reported to have come from Scotland and to have been related to Sir Robert Strange, the Artist of London.
MARTIN  is said to live in Alabama.
JOHN was killed in the rebellion.
PAUL died in Missouri.
JOSEPH died in California.
ROLLAND lived in Kansas.
BEN lives in Colorado.
CALVIN is thought to be dead."

"He was imprisoned for being involved in horse stealing, a plot thought up by his father and he reluctantly executed.  He was caught and sent to jail for two years.  Cora A was offered a divorce by the state as a customary action and she took it as she felt ashamed to live with a thief.  Later she regretted her rash action, but by that time she was md to Edgar Brim."

1903 estimated:  Another wedding picture (apparently) of Cora Stumpf and her second husband Edgar Brim.  "He was the cousin of her first husband. Cora was not a happy woman and often was heard to say that the difficult marriage with Edgar was the punishment for having divorced Clarence Miller.  Cora was a religious woman and prayed for the conversion of her husband, Edgar."

Cora Alferetta STUMPF [Parents] was born 25 Mar 1884 in Marysville, Marshall Co, KS. She died 8 Feb 1934. Cora married Clarence MILLER about 1901.
