Bricklayer by trade and has worked in all parts of Western PA. He helped lay-up the first brick dwelling in Allegheny City.
Has served as a school director of his twp for early 20 years.
50 years Cumberland Presbyterian Church and for a long time an elder therein. a rigid temperance man and has been a constant worker in the cause of temperance since he became 20 years of age. . has one of the best fruit orchards in Fayette Co." There is a picture of him on page 587. (Sounds like he may have been born in German twp,Chester Co, PA. Isn't that where Brandywine field is? However his parents, Isaac & Rebecca, were born Fayette Co.PA.)
