 Obituary:  Funeral services of Mrs. Emmaline Brown, who died Friday evening at her home near Barlow, were held Monday morning.  Burial was made in the cemetery at Barlow.  Rev. E. A. Coil officiated.  Mrs. Brown was born at Watertown, In January, 1826, and was therefore past 90 years of age.  she was the last of nine children born to her parents.  She had spent her entire life in that vicinity, and was well known and respected by a large number of friends.  The deceased is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Fred Swan, of this city, and by a great-grandson, Charles F. Swan, of Marietta. 

History of Washington Co., OH 1881 gives Barkley children as Cecil, Eugene H., Earnest, Minerva M., Eva V., Mary C., Arthur D, and one who died in infancy.
