"THE McCOMB FAMILY" pg 63. which gives the data below plus list of
their 9 children.
"They, Thomas and Elizabeth[Hague] McConkey were married in Fayette
Co. PA and came to Wayne Co. OH and settled near Wooster. Later moved
to a farm in Clinton Twp. where they lived till death took them. (However
it gives erroneous death dates for Thomas and Elizabeth.)
"THE McCOMB FAMILY" ^. must be different than the "McCOMB ANCESTRY"
book mentioned below, because Elizabeth Hague born 1785 is not on page
56-59 and not on pg 61 in the xeroxed sheets I have of "THE McCOMB FAMILY."

Betty or Betsy Hague, b 21 Jul 1785, Chester Pa. Md Thomas McConkey at

CONFLICT OF DEATH DATES. I chose Mrs. Kimbers because she said "died
at Clinton Twp., Wayne Co. Ohio 8 Oct 1867. There was a "?" on
McCombs data.
Aug 2000: I'm reading page 55 and it said "died Dec 28, 1862 at the age
of 77 years, 5 mo and 7days." No ? marks, so I've decided to use
McCombs.
RESIDENCE: "Lived for a time in Wayne Co. OH": Evelyn Van Noy.
BIOGRAPHY: This is what Jan Walker wrote about Wm J. Hague; her
source is the GENEALOGY OF THE DARLINGTON FAMILY, I think:
"SPOUSE RUTH MENDENHALL, md 16 May 1780. Moved from Chester Co. Pa
about 1792 and settled in Menallen Twp., Pa.
One of the first of six of earliest inhabitants of E. Springfield, OH (about
1811.)
Children:
JOHN, ELIZABETH, MARTHA(PATTY), WILLIAM, ISAAC, AARON, HANNAH b.
22 Dec 1787 and md Lambert McComb in 1811. Son Isaac was of Ripley
Twp., Holmes, OH, and lived there in 1843. WILLIAM HAGUE was
sometimes called JOHN WILLIAM."

Menallen Twp . Then he settled near Nicholson Twp. in Fayette Co. P.A."
"John Hague (Wm's father) came to Chester Co. Pa about 1747 from
Holland."

Clinton Twp., Wayne Co. Md Thomas McConkey (son of Wm. McConkey of
Ireland) who was b 1781, Fayette Co. Pa. (one record says, Wash Twp.
Pa.) D. Feb 29, 1870, Clinton Twp., Wayne Co. OH. Thomas & Eliz both
buried in old abandoned cemetery along Penna RR track south of town of
Shreve, O."
