1841 Mar 15: proof of John Hague Sen (b.1775) parentage to URIAH Hague
is found in probate. "March Term 1841--HAGUE, URIAH, aged 16 years
last September, a child and heir of JOHN HAGUE, deceased--March
15th, 1841, J.S. page 347, gives(?) Timothy Bates as his guardian and
this court approved his choice and appoints this said Timothy Bates
guardian accordingly. Bond in $1400. William Reeves, Andrew Nevis(?)

1841 Jul 29: Petition for partition of land "made by son John Hague Jr.
of MONROE CO. OH. JOHN HAGUE filed petition in Guernsey Co, 29 Jul
1841, against Reuben, Joseph, Jane, Amos, & URIAH Hague demanding
partition of real estate."
Joseph elected to buy that property, and paid John, Reuben, Jane, Amos
and URIAH for it. NW 1/4 of S.12, T.8, R. 8 in Seneca Twp, Guernsey Co.

1905 Mar 18: death of URIAH HAGUE. OBIT extracts: ". . .d at his home n.e.
of Lyons, Rice, KS age 80 y 6 m 5 d. . . .came with his family to Rice Co
1874 and settled on a farm 5 1/2 m ne of Lyons. . . resided most of time
until death. Father of 11 children, 8 living.. .One son from Idaho and one
from Winfield, Ks, and dau (were) by his bedside..... & all but A.R. HAGUE
of Montana and J.W HAGUE of Oklahoma were at funeral. Mrs. HAGUE d
1887. Mr. HAGUE was a striking figure in his neighborhood. His long grey
locks gave him an aged and patriarchal look and many thought at the time
we first knew him in 1879 that he was at least 80 then, although in
activity of body he seemed young till the last 5 years. He was a kind neighbor. . ."
