1948).  Those who are identified in the picture are: John Dexter and
Willard Dexter, (Edith's brothers) Ed and Edith Gill, Spency Lawshe, and
Elsie Gill.  Nine others unidentified.

Birth: "Willard Dexter, nephew, age 19, (17) born Michigan" is living with
William Dexter family in l900 census of  Center Twp. Marshall Co.
Kansas.
"Year of Immigration to U. S. for parents - 1884"    (Someone should get
an 1871 Canada Census on this family.  Also get a 1910 Census of
Marshall Co. KS. on this family.)

Birth:  Letter from Miriam Dexter,  24 Jan, 1965, pg 36. "George Dexter
and his wife (Alice Crook) were married and lived in Canada many years.
A grandson said they lived in Colberg, but I am quite sure that I saw the
name Cobourg on pictures that Blanche, Willard's wife, showed me in
Waterville one day.  Cobourg is south of Millbrook, on the lake.
Ten of the children were born in Canada, between 1865 and 1879.  Then
Willard was born 18 June1883 and Stanley in 1885, both in Marshall Co."

"Willard Dexter" is listed in extract of his father's, George W. Dexter's,
will. (The latter died in 1904.)
"Willard Dexter, and Blanche Dexter, his wife, of Marshall Co., Kan," are
also listed as "Heirs of George Dexter" in Warranty Deed, Abstract
#21,486, on March 23, 1937.     (See pg 18 of Miriam Dexter's letters.)

Obituary of Willard's sister: "Edith Gill, died 12 Feb 1954. . . Leaves three
sisters: Miss Jane Dexter, Grants Pass Ore.  Mrs Margaret Stuart,

Dexter, Deming, N.M.;  Will, Seattle, Wash.;  John, Marysville, Kan.;
Willard, Waterville, Kan.; and Stanley, San Franciso, CA.
