"John Zeigler was born in Massillon, OH, on October 8, 1857.  There he lived until March 4, 1865, when at the age of eight years he with his parents and two younger brothers, Elmer and Almer came with their parents to Bridgeport, WI, and moved to their farm in Glen Haven township, where John lived for twelve years.  ON January 1, 1878, he was maried to Nellie Bishop and continued to live in Glen Haven.  On May 1, 1884 Harley Zeigler was born.  Nellie Zeigler died on February 8, 1904.
In the year 1908, on February 18, he was united in marriage to Ms. May Naylor at the home of her uncle, Lew Edwards.  They resided at the present home until his sudden death July 19, 1920 at the age of 62 years , nine months and 11 days.
Those of the immediate family left to mourn their untold loss are his wife, only son Harley, the aged mother, three brothers--Almer, Elmer and Doss and one sister Ellen besides many friends.
