One wonders why Reuben Hague, eldest s/o Joseph & Barbara (Yoho) Hague didn't end up living on his father and grandfather's property --S12, R 8, T 8.? He was born 1829- probably on that land - md at age 22 to a local girl, Nancy Bates, age 19, and then Reuben started acquiring land.

More details below:
1784 or 1785: ISAAC Hague was born in Fayette Co, PA, s/o John and Sarah (Collins) Hague.
He was fifth of eight children.
They were:
1.) WILLIAM,
2.) JOHN,
3.) HENRY,
4.) JOSEPH,
5.) ISAAC,
6.) REUBEN,
7.) SARAH,
8.) NANCY?/ANN?
Source:Fayette Co, PA, Orphans Ct., Vol 2, p 304, 1828.
Compiler has calculated, concentrated, estimated, and guesstimated the ages and birth years of those eight children---using the following census and court records of 1802 and 1828. But her brain locks up and shuts down with all the data. Perhaps you would like
to figure—or—refigure those eight children's ages.

(We should get the full census on those two Isaacs.)
A “SARAH” p 146 of Menallen. A “JOSEPH” p. 146 of Menallen,
and a “JOHN JR.” p. 121 in Redstone, Fayette Co.
JOHN has moved over to Guernsey Co, OH, by now and apparently HENRY has also.
There is a HENRY in Wills Twp, Guernsey Co, OH—could be abt 42--prob –him.
As for WILLIAM—the William Hague's do my head in, there are several and it's hard to identify who is which in the early census—but I think WILLIAM just might have gone to Wayne Co, OH. for awhile. and I kinda think he came back to Menallen Twp in 1830.
REUBEN might be in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co. Pittsburgh is close by Menallen. There is a Reuben there in 1820 p.36.

GENEALOGY OF THE WORTHINGTON FAMILY, p. 170 mentions Guernsey Co and a
"Rebecca Jeffries born 1786 married ISAAC HAGUE who
is thought to have been son of
JOHN and SARAH (MENDENHALL)HAGUE.”
Sarah “Mendenhall” is INCORRECT!
It was Sarah Collins!
This according to documented Old Swedes Church mg. records:
“John Hague md Sarah Collins May 17, 1774,
at Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, DE.”
The error may have crept in because John's brother,
“William Hague md Ruth Mendenhall May 16, 1780,
at Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, DE.”__________________________
1832 Mar 26: Will of SARAH Hague,(mother of Isaac? Likely), of Menallen

Apparently the Jefferies were Quakers. Many of the Hague's may
have been also. A g g granddaughter of John and Sarah (Collins) Hague (a Miss Layola
Hague, retired school teacher of Uniontown, PA,) about 1950-60 said
that "John and Sarah Hague were buried in Sandy Hill Cemetery near
Uniontown. They were Quakers from Chester Co. PA. and some of her
relatives had a genealogy of the said Hague family in Chester Co."
Needs to be checked further. Hinshaw for Chester Co. should be
checked.

FIGURING ISAAC'S BIRTH YEAR:
1850 Oct 18: census he says he's 65. If he already turned 65 in 1850 he's born 1785. If he will yet be 66 in 1850, he's born 1784.
1802: Fayette, Orphan Ct. Recds: Joseph, ISAAC, & Reuben all above 14-(under 21).
If the “65 in 1850” is true then ISAAC is 17 or 18.
1807: ISAAC md Rebecca. If he's “65 in 1850” then he is 22 or 23 at mg.
Now the 1800 census shows a different slant. It might not be correct. Census takers grouped the children's ages together and they could easily have been incorrect.
1800 Aug 4: :JOHN HAIG, l m 45 and over (John b abt 1750)
2M l6-25, (WILLIAM, JOHN); 4 M l0-l5 (HENRY, JOSEPH, ISAAC, REUBEN)
l F 45 and over (wife, SARAH) 2 F 0-9 (dau's SARAH & NANCY ANN).
ISAAC, is 15 or 16. That fits. But Henry and Joseph must be older than15.
1810 Aug 6: census. ISAAC is listed “16-25”. If he's “65 in 1850” he could be 25 going on to 26. If he already turned 25 in 1810 he's born 1785. If he will yet be 26 in 1810, he's born 1784. STILL NEED 1820, 1830, 1840, AND 1860 for this bunch.
