1920 obit in the Sheridan Advance: "George Ralph Hague 1853-1920 was born in Morgan Co, OH and departed this life at his home in Sheridan, MO at the age of 66 years 5 mo and 28 days. . .with parents moved to Brookfield, MO, and later to Worth Co, Mo where he spent the remaining years of his life, living 23 years in this community."
(Perhaps his parents did not move to Worth Co--just George.)
"He was md to Clara F. White born1844-194(2) at Grant City, MO. in 1887. He was a member of the A.F.A.M. being worship Master & Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star. . . (Survived by) his wife, 4 sister and 2 brothers, Walter Hague, Maggie Miller, Della Propst, Rosie Hohl of Sterling. Nettie Hays of Los Angeles, CA, Mr. J. C. Hague of Tulsa, OK. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Mr. Hague was highly respected by all who knew him and was a kind, honest upright man.. . .Burial was in the Sheridan Cemetery."
Worth Co Recorder gave death dates for both George and Clara.
"Georges probate stated he had no children. He left $388 to his wife.
When she died she left some bills including $400 to her sister Minnie Morris of Wyoming. "There were no court records, so he died clean."
(Better to die 'clean' and poor than filthy rich.)

1904: Obituary of George's father, JOHN HAGUE from Sterling, Colo
paper: (extracts) John Hague born in Guernsey Co. Ohio, Jan 29,
1825....grew up to manhood there. Thirty years ago (1874) he moved to
central Missori, later moving to Nebraska. Sixteen years ago (1888) he
located in the South Platte valley in Colo where he has since resided.
Deceased md at Plymouth, Washington Co. Ohio to Ansina smith, Dec 20,
1851. Ten children were born, all of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Andrew Hays and Mrs. William Hays, Cozad, Nebr. Mrs. J. M. Bowlin and Carroll Hague, Mounds, Indian Territory. George Hague, Sheridan, Missouri.
Mrs. Martin Hohl, Miss Margaret Hague, Mrs. S. R. Propst, Chauncey Hague
and Walter Hague all at or near Sterling. Funeral service held from family residence, conducted by pastor of Methodist church. THE ROYAL NEIGHB ORS attended the funeral in a body. Interment at Riverview Cemetery, Sterling, Colorado..
Grant City is county seat for Worth Co. Recorder said "only one land
