I was thrilled to get the picture of the log house.  In its day it must have been a nice place.  When we saw it, it was leaning and it was much smaller than the picture looked.  The top was an upper loft for the boys to sleep.  The downstairs was not very big.  It had a screened porch on the side.  But it did have the same shape as this picture.  It is so nice to have a picture of the log house at an earlier time.  I was surprised to hear he had two log houses.  I always thought he only built one.  Dixie Minson Nov. 2004
